Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce isn't really a canyon at all — it's a string of natural amphitheaters filled with thousands of hoodoos, the slender red-rock spires that catch fire at sunrise. Walk the rim for the big picture, then drop down the Navajo Loop to wander among the spires themselves. After dark, some of the clearest, darkest skies in the country fill with more stars than most people have ever seen.
